Week #24…Black and White…
I didn’t want to do a black and white pic for this week so when I saw this tire track on the road outside of Home Depot, it was perfect!

Week #20…Soft…

I’m not big fan of selective coloring…but this asked for it. ![]()
So this begins a new weekly theme…Bokeh…

It’s hard to take pics of small objects with the polaroid…you have to have at least 3.5 feet between it and the camera…and I always judge the actual photo area wrong with this thing…but I like happy accidents anyway. ![]()

Totally uninspired shot…I had a good idea and could NOT find a good dead end road…I am sure I could have found one if I had wanted to waste a day and a tank of gas…so here we are…THE END!
So…this week’s theme was 9…the significance? Well unless you live under a rock you know it was 09/09/09! Not quite as special as 07/07/07…all those 7′s it had to be a lucky day, right!? Anyway…So the I went with the easy shot. 09/09/09 @ 9:09PM. I couldn’t get the creative juices flowing to come up with an idea. If I had given it some real thought I would have had my pics from the day in my screensaver.
I thought this shot turned out pretty cool! As cool as a digital clock face in the dark can turn out anyway!
9 Rug Rats…that is far as the whole 9 theme took me. Betwee my sister and I, we have 9 kids! She had a fun idea to use with them. All my brain could come up with was “pyramid”…sorta…maybe just stacks. heh…You can see how THRILLED the boys on the bottom are to be there and how fun being on the top is! haha!
The rest of these are just shots from my walk with Sage from the bus stop to our place. There are beautiful things to take pics of at every turn! And yes I consider spiders beautiful! And they are everywhere!
There are spider webs everywhere! One I theses days I hope I find one covered in due and looking awesome!
It’s really neat to find them while they are building their webs! The process is really cool!
And I absolutely LOVE all the color around me! Such a change from all the brown and rocks and dirt of Prescott Valley!
Today Keli and I and Sage and Hattie went on a little hike at the Redmond Watershed Preserve. It was a nice relaxed walk and the girls got to get out of the house and run around for awhile.
So we walked around and the girls ran and we took pics! It was beautiful out there! I love all the moss and TREES! lol…sure there are trees in Arizona, it’s just so different here! And there are so many bright colors everywhere!

seems to be a problem with me…what a terrible problem!
My sister Keli and I took a trip to Seattle last Saturday to get pics for our weekly theme of “Architectural details”. So taking too many pics was definitely on the agenda! We took the bus over to Seattle and made our way through block after block of many many opportunities to fit the theme!
We got off the bus on either 5th Ave. and Cherry or 5th Ave. and Jefferson. We walked a total of about 3 miles, give or take. It seemed like a whole lot more! When we walked the 7 blocks straight up the side of a mountain (yeah I am exaggerating)…I thought I was going to DIE! But besides that I had a GREAT time! It was nice to get out and explore!
I posted all of my pics from the day on flickr…but here are a few of my faves.
Seattle’s Historic Triangle Pub

Columbia Center

St. James Cathedral

Pioneer Building

The Sinking Ship Parking Garage

Waiting for lunch…these spiders are EVERYWHERE!
One afternoon we left the apartment and one had made its web across the stairwell!
You have to keep an eye put for them or walk right through their webs!

Today Keli and I took a bus to Seattle and had a nice walk, looking for our architectural detail! If it weren’t for my out of shape butt and the lack of more time. I think I could walk around Seattle all day long! I’m not sure how far we walked exactly but it was great…until we had to climb THE HILL!!! I thought…I was going…TO DIE!!! But I made it and am here to tell the tale!
I will probably blog more about the whole day and share more pics later…but for now here is one of the cool details you find all over Seattle…lots of faces and crazy cool designs.
